ABOUT Irene Smirnova
Irene Smirnova is a Canadian artist and a writer, author of "Iriada Tales: poetry collection".
Born in Ukraine, Irene lived in Moscow till 90s, studied journalism and literature in Moscow University. Moving to Montreal, Canada in the 90s, she studied arts, digital and traditional, visual effect and 3d animation design in NAD center.
She was working as a traditional and digital artist for many years and has contributed to numerous film projects, including awards winning.

Connecting art, mathematics, technology and poetry is behind the creative projects that Irene is currently working on. Traditional techniques make a foundation for Irene's artwork and she uses charcoal, oils, wax and raisin in painting, embroidery, 3d printing.
